Please HELP with some advice!

I had surgery on 8/2//016 and my starting weight was 266lbs. Today 5 weeks and 1 day later I have only lost 11lbs. Please help me to get this weight loss going! I get 80 to 90 grams of protein so I know that's not my problem. I drink 3 16.9oz water bottles a day. And I consume between 500 to 800 calories a day! Should I go back to an all liquid diet to restart? What advice can you give me? Very depressed because I'm not losing! And I don't think it's a stall cause I don't think they last 5 weeks! Please help! Thank you!

@@Mindy Gullion That may not be enough fluids - try increasing your non-caloric liquids (decaf tea, Powerade zero, Vitamin Water zero, crystal light, infused water, broth, etc.). That may do the trick to move things along. Remember - 11 pounds is still a loss and as long as you're going in the right direction you're doing well. There's no race to the finish line.

Keep us posted as to how you do!

Have you been for a follow up with doctor? Mine discussed what I was consuming, how much, how often, etc. I was told that our bodies are still figuring out what is going on. It wasn't just our stomach that changes.

Also, your body doesn't know preop loss from post op loss. It just knows loss. Whatever you lost preop, if any will impact you overall.

You *are* losing, you just aren't losing as fast as you want to. It sounds to me like you are doing a good job with your eating and recovery, I think you should give yourself a break and let go of expectations of exactly how fast you will lose. Keep up the good work with your intake, be kind to yourself, and keep going -- the weight will come off and you will get to goal.
