I did go salmon fishing 7 days after my surgery. I had a great time. No issues whatsoever. I didn't catch a salmon but I did catch a mess load of squaw fish. My brother-in-law got about a 3 to 4 pound

You are a tougher man than me, bro. Day after surgery all I wanted to do was take naps and walk every couple hours. Also, I'm one of those "prepare for the worst and hope for the best" dudes.

Unfortunately I'm the guy who can't do nothing. If I'm sick (once every 10-12 years I take a sick day) I feel better doing anything rather than sitting. That always gets me into trouble in my garage

My brother in law is coming the day after I get back from surgery. He and I always go fishing while he is here. Salmon will be in the river. Obviously I can't fight and land one could I set the hook and pass the pole? I plan to ask my doc but I wanted opinions. We would stop the boat as often as I need to so I can walk.
Whatcha think, can I go fishin?
