Protein-whats your favorite?

Hi, I'm also pre-op and looking for the best tasting Protein drink/shake. I have tried Premier Protein and the aftertaste/chalkiness and sweetness are too much for me. I need one that has absolutely no flavor or one that really tastes good. Pre made or powder-doest matter. Thanks! Whats your favorite and why??

  • So I have found that if you take Syntrax chocolate truffles powder and mix it with unsweetened coconut milk, it tastes like heaven. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App

What flavors of Premier have you tried? Because they all sort of have different textures and consistencies.

I love Herbalife, the mint chip one is my fave, the Dutch chocolate is not overly sweet.

What is the carb count on Herbalife? I have never seen one that is bariatric friendly.

I am 4 yrs post GS. Have tried many protein brands and just gave up on finding one I liked or my body accepted. My daughter told me about Syntrax nectar....I am hooked! They are the best for me.

My fav Protein is Premier Protein strawberry & cream. Hated chocolate and banana. Never tried vanilla and not a fan of Caramel

I've tried vanilla and caramel. I have chocolate and Banana in my fridge to try next. Thanks. I just got 7 $3 off a 4 pk coupons so I'm going to get some more this week. I mean they're not terrible or anything. I was just hoping for something better. They remind me of those canned slim fast I drank as a kid! LOL I would hope the market had improved! But, I'm going to try these suggestions pre-surgery. Thanks all!! ^_^

How are they on carbs, sugar, Protein and calories. For example, the mint chip? Thanks. I did Herbalife like a hear ago, but wasn't watching the stats I need to know. I thought all the ones I tried were so delicious! Do you have to add protein, or does the shake itself have enough protein? Thanks!
