Post surgery expectations

I am just 11 days post op from sleeve surgery. For the past four days I have not lost one pound. I am drinking only water, broth, protein shakes, and sugar free jello. Is this normal?

Yes. As long as you are getting enough protein and fluids - the scale will move. Your body needs time to adjust. Stay off the scale for a while. Hang in there!

Thank you. I'm ready to eat. Lol

Yes, it is normal.

None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience stalls and slow-downs throughout our weight loss journey. Almost everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery.

Just follow your program.

Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids.

Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed.

Exercise when cleared.

Stay off the scale.

And, Embrace the Stall

I lost 31 pounds in the two weeks preop. I have lost about 6 pounds in the 3.5 weeks since. I guess it's evening out.
