My surgeon said that the 1st week after surgery I can only have Clear liquids and to not try to over do it. broth could be a great choice.

God bless.

I would definitely try broth or warm liquids. I couldn't drink really cold drinks for a few weeks because they made me nauseous.

Poor thing!....focus on just fluids until things settle a little. broth, tea, room temp Water, or flavored water......sugarfree popsicles...crushed ice.

Once you're able to build up your fluids then slowly start working on the Protein......Go slow and steady....it will get better I promise!

I'm a week post op today and my first week was clear liquids only. I was wondering why but today I had a Protein drink and it hit like a ton of bricks. And I have healed very well. So try some broth, tea, and clear Protein drinks. I bought a 4 pack at Walmart with 20g of protein per bottle. It's an Atkins drink and they have 3 flavors and are the consistency of favored Water. Good luck
