Fast weight loss?

Hey everyone

I was wondering if anyone experienced fast weight loss. I know it's supposed to happen and yes some lose more then some. I lost 23lbs before surgery and in 11 days after surgery I have lost 18lbs. So in total I am down 41. I'm kinda scared if that's too fast.. or maybe because I started heavier then most? I'm still on puree until the 30th ..I get as much protein and water in. Just a little scared but alot more happier. Can anyone relate?

You started heavier so that doesn't seem odd. Also, heavy people really carry a lot of Water weight just because they have so much additional tissue to hold water.

Enjoy the fast weight loss, it wont always be this fast.

My first week post op I lost 14 pounds. 14 pounds in 7 days frightened me a bit and my surgeon said enjoy it while it last. And now in losing slower for sure. I've lost 60 pounds in about 4 months.

It slows a bit as you get closer to goal. But upping Protein Water, etc can help.

@valerie1982 I had the same experience (I'm 2 months out today). I wasn't as big as you and still lost 20 pounds in the first two weeks. It has taken me six more weeks to lose the next 20. Your experience is perfectly normal so no worries!

I did but had some stalls, i am now one pound one year post op sleeve. Of 120, i used to weigh 258, i am now 121, i eat very low carb, i eat very clean fresh foods. I am age 58, i am 5"2, off a lots of meds, low carb works for me.
