So nervous but so excited

Surgery is June 28th, I'm so scared but so darn excited. I've been heavy for 24 years, I'm just exited to loose this damn weight and excited to eat healthy. One year ago on June 16th, I had a massive heart attack at 43 years old, my lad was 100 % blocked and my RCA was 99% blocked. I have 3 Stents all together. So the only reason I'm scared is my heart. I did have permanent heart damage to my left side. But I have turned my diet around as far as eating more lean meats and vegetables and fruits, I just sometimes cheat with the sweets, I'm excerising 5 days a week I lost 30 pound but it's been a year now and I haven't lost anymore so I decided to get help with surgery. I'm so excited to get started on this new journey.

My husband has a prescription for Sumatriptan if I get desperate. I'm not sure if that's one I have to stop 10 days in advance of surgery. I'm not sure how to ask my doctor since it's not my prescription to begin with! lol

I hope you have a better day tomorrow. I was told by my nurse that Tylenol is okay even up to day before surgery. I was told to stop all NSAIDs 10 days prior (ibuprofen, aleve etc) I have imitrex for migraines that I take with usually two aleve.

I will ask my doc/nurse tomorrow if I can have the imitrex all the way up until the day before surgery because I'm not sure on it. I can't take hydros for pain because they make me sick to stomach.

*it is crazy how each doctors instructions are different from the other.

Day 3 seems to be better :-)

Migraine has eased up to the point where its just about gone:-)

Getting a little blaaaa about the Protein shakes, but will keep drinking them considering how important the protein is :-)

Honestly I thought I would be hungary more then I am, so that's a good thing :-)

12 more days to go!!!!

@@saphfyre14, My first two days I had a bad migraine, but it does ease up. Hang in there!! I still have that buzzing feeling in my head hoping the 4th day is the charm.

When are you having surgery?

Which surgery are you having?

I recently moved back from florida about a year and a 1/2 ago :o

not sure if its any help but you can do decaf coffee. sometimes I add a bit of regular black coffee unsweetened to myshake

I started it yesterday. Yesterday was bad!! Today a little better, but I do have to confess I'm thinking about doing a 1/2 caff coffee just to get the headache to pass. Not sure what to do...

I'm also scheduled for July 5. I'm on day 3 of the shakes. I had a headache most of day 1 and half of day 2 but not today. I'm not a coffee drinker but low/no sugar causes my brain to quiver! Haha!

@@Shaunie It's funny, but I'm not that hungry either.

I blended my chocolate shake with 3/4 cup strawberries and a few ice cubes tonight for part of my supper. It was really good! It gave the shake a different taste and I enjoyed it a lot!

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing drastic weight loss during the liquid diet? Obviously, I knew there would be weight loss but unless my scale is playing tricks on me I'm done 10lbs in 3 days. To me that doesn't seem normal :o

I'm sure a lot is Water weight, but I guess I'm just curious if anyone is seeing this.

My scale is pretty accurate. I compare it to the nutritionist every time......

@@Shaunie I haven't gotten on the scale yet. I was a little concerned because I had a bit of a food funeral before the pre-surgery diet started lol
