Post-Op fever (No leak-confirmed in CT scan)

Hi all,

My mom got her sleeve on may 25th. She is 49. She has been having a fever in the range of 99.5-101.5.

The doctor ruled out any leak after a scan, there were no signs of infection in both blood and urine, the chest X ray was clear, however its very disturbing to not know the cause of the fever, even after 10 days of surgery. Please throw some light into the issue?

      10 days is a bit far out - it's more common to see a slight fever (up to 101) from postop inflammatory response. How is her hydration? Another thing that causes fever is dehydration.

    Could be a variety of things. Inflammation could be a culprit, this link may give you some things to ask your MD about.
