Post-Op Diet Full Liquids?

I am starting week two tomorrow and am allowed full liquids. I bought a bunch of Soup, but most the Soups I could find without noodles were full of Beans. Has anyone had any problems with beans after surgery?

I also have read a lot of people saying they could have anything purred on their stage two diet. My diet plan only says "Full Liquids" plus yogurt and pudding. Do you think I could have something like hummus or blended avocado? Since they're pretty much the same consistency of yogurt?

This sounds like s great question for your NUT.

When I was on full liquids, I would have had to have strained out the beans and chunks.

I have to puree the soups, I just didn't know if something like beans would be the best for me or not.

It's not only the consistency that is a concern - but introducing other foods may cause vomiting which can cause complications. I would not eat anything not specified on your plan. You should strain any soup.
