Hi. Just starting my process for sleeve surgery. Wondering how long this process takes before surgery?

_{Normally 6 months, psych clearance, support groups, nutrition appts, insurance approval, and I had to loose a min. Of 10 lbs on my own before my insurance would cover my surgery.}

Usually 3 - 6 months depending on your insurance.

for me my consultation was in June and my surgery was in September

It really does depend on your insurance. My first time around I had UHC and they required 6 months supervised diet, Upper GI, sleep study, psych appt and nutritionist and weight loss (all of these appointments were at different places). Now this time I am going through Kaiser and all my surgeon required is psych, nutrition, ekg and pre op weight loss. It took 9 months with UHC but with Kaiser I think it'll take 2 months.
