Vein pain

I had surgery 3rd May and they really struggled to find my vein the IV medication leaked into arm and this still hurts

12 days out I ended up in hospital with severe constipation and they fitted an IV into other arm this also was not fitted well and now I have a feeling like my vein is burning it is red and slightly swollen but the pain is intense do has given me a course of antibiotics which is 4 massive capsules a day (a real pain to get down) and not feeling any better at all also short of breath and heart races sometimes

Has anyone had anything similar and how long does it take to go please

Sounds like it may be difficult for you to get ahold of your surgeon, if so, please go see your regular practitioner or urgent care clinic.
