I flew from Czech Republic to uk 3 days after surgery It was ok just got someone else to lift luggage Was very tired when I got home but it was a 12 travel with driving to airport then waiting in airport then flying and then driving home If you have hubby looking after you and you get blood thinners from doc all will ok I'm sure Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I had surgery 3rd May and they really struggled to find my vein the IV medication leaked into arm and this still hurts 12 days out I ended up in hospital with severe constipation and they fitted an IV into other arm this also was not fitted well and now I have a feeling like my vein is burning it is red and slightly swollen but the pain is intense do has given me a course of antibiotics which is 4 massive capsules a day (a real pain to get down) and not feeling any better at all also short of breath and heart races sometimes Has anyone had anything similar and how long does it take to go please Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So I'm 12 days out and had nothing but a rabbit dropping once since op been on stool softener and benefibre so I thought I was doing all I could also Always getting my fluids and taking regular and increasing daily exercise however I still ended up in hospital as had blockage all I can say is ensure you take as much fibre as you can This weekend has been no fun at all Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Well I've had my surgery and got to be honest the first 2 days were horrendous due to constant vomiting however day 3 was like emerging from the vomit cocoon to a happy sleever really amazed how different 1 day can make you feel ???? totally looking forward to losing all my excess blub Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am worried about this too I never suffered with high blood pressure but I had a reading of 160/110 by a midwife at work (I'm not pregnant I just asked her to do it quick between her appointments) she told me to come back later and it was 135/92 not on any meds for it but been suffering with headaches recently will this stop surgery or if I go to docs will he give needs to lower this I have cut out salt and caffeine since this reading (4days ago) so hopefully that will go some way to lowering it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have been told the only diet I need to follow is to cut out sugar and fat but can carry on eating as much as I do (just 24hr liquid before op ) Having seen everyone talk about low carb high Protein or even all liquid diets im wondering if this will make recovery harder has anyone else followed a similar pre op please Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
