Do you think...

I really need to get my surgery ASAP after my approval. Do you think the doctor would allow me to begin my 2 week diet the day they submit my paperwork? I know the say it could take up to 3 weeks, but my husband starts school in August and I need my surgery before then. They will be submitting my paperwork June 29. I have Cigna. Thanks!

The surgeon will likely not schedule without approval. Mine only business days. Some take weeks.

But as soon as I got my approval, the surgeon scheduled me for the next available opening. Hang in there, Kiddo.

They will likely not schedule until approval received. They are not going to want to tie up their schedule for "possibles." My insurance only took a couple days. Give them a week and then start bugging the crap out of them over the phone.

My surgeon scheduled a date before sending to insurance but waited to schedule the pre-op appt until it was approved, it took less than a day to get approved. Good luck!

My ins requires a date before they'll approve so I got my date, June 9, and have yet to get my approval. Should head tomorrow. Not all surgeons/insurance companies are the same!
