Feeling bummed.
I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks. I'll be 7 weeks out on Tuesday. I didn't expect my "stall" to begin this early. I've only lost 18 pounds since surgery. It's really making me feel down, which leads me to old habits (and bad food choices). I'm starting over on a liquid diet tomorrow, maybe that will help me break through my stall. Day 4 Post Op, major pains lower left side
I'm almost 2 weeks post op and still have a lot of pain. I spoke to my Dr and he said since it was the hole he pulled the stomach out of, I had to have my muscle stitched back together as well as subdermal stitches, so they take longer to heal. I wear a binder, that helps. And when it's starting to hurt I just apply pressure and that seems to help. For me I think it's the weight of my belly pulling down that is causing most of the pain, the rest is positional. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

What was your first week post op like?
I am on day 6, and still in pain. I've been taking lots of naps and trying to heal up before my husband goes back to work and I go back to being 24/7 mommy to my 1 & 2 year old. It will be interesting because I can't lift them at all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

What does hunger feel like?
I'm having a really hard time distinguishing what my body is trying to tell me. I'm 5 days post op and I keep getting this sensation that I can't tell what it is. It starts in my belly and moves up to my stomach and then to my neck. It's like a sharp painful feeling that turns into that feeling where you're starving and your stomach is trying to claw its way out for some food, and ends as more of a noise, like sandpaper on the back of your neck. It usually only lasts 10 seconds or so, but I get it frequently. Is this hunger? I haven't had a day yet where I've been able to meet my Water or Protein goal. I'm on a full liquid diet. Help! Just threw up my multivitamin
I used Barimelts for a couple of weeks, until I started vomiting them up. Now I'm using PatchMD Patches. My doc will run full labs soon to see what all my levels are, then I'll know if they're working or not. I'm a little skeptical, but I can't find anything oral that I can tolerate. My fingers are crossed ya, keep me updated! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My stomach
I asked the doc to take a picture of my stomach all laid out when he was done, and he let my nurse do it! He said once the stomach is cut, it contracts and turns into a tube shape. So cool! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
