I didn't mind the shakes before surgery... now I despise them. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Your taste completely seems to change after the operation and liquids. All the artificial sweet flavors of the shakes...seriously make my want to throw up. Sent from my SM-N920V using the Bariatri

I think just about everyone has that same thought of "what the hell did I do" during that first week. It is slightly rough. But before you know it you are going on one month since surgery, down almost 30 lbs, and eating soft foods.

I'm wondering since I'm doing really great with soft foods, when do I start with regular foods? I'm ready to try some things like spinach (uncooked) and lettuce; perhaps a small salad?

How often do you find yourself esting... and what are you eating do far? I'm post-op 15 days.

Im same as you 2.5 weeks post op. struggling a bit with choices but am sticking to 1/2 to 3/4 cup meal once or twice a day and shakes or Soup for rest to get Protein up. All depends on how my tummy is feeling....

So far Ive tried lightly scrambled egg, roughly pureed chicken, pureed lamb stew, mashed up meatballs with a sauce, mashed fish, mashed potato, all were fine.... I have also had a rice cracker thing with a slice of cheese on it. The rice crackers melt in your mouth and the cheese is very soft.

What have you been trying?

I've had shrimp, squash/zucchini (in a grill pack..by far the best thing so far), Northern Beans, baked beans, refried beans, avocado, green beans, a little scrambles egg, lasagna but no noodles I just had sauce for the most part, Greek yogurt, and some thinly shaved turkey and ham from a deli.

Tonight for dinner I had about 2 oz of seared Ahi Tuna steak and about 2 oz of Lobster Bisque Soup. Delicious and satisfying!
