Has anyone else suffered from being constantly thirsty? I am three weeks post op and every day I am finding I need to drink more and more. It's torture at night and sometimes whilst I am half asleep I gulp down water to quench the thirst and then get a severe gas pains. Has anyone else suffered from this? it's driving me mad especially when I can't drink until 30mins after food (currently on purée)

How much water are you getting a day?

About 1litre water plus other fluids altogether around 1.8litres

My daily Water intake is goal 64 oz (about 2 liters) plus the extra liquids from food.

Try increasing your water intake, if that doesn't work I'd call your Dr.

I wish, I have to force myself to drink. I use to drink Water all day and now I have to think and remind myself to drink water. It is so hard for me to get all my fluids in.

I am 7 weeks post op.

It's funny how different people's experiences are. I'm sure it will get better for us both

I feel the same,especially at night...the last few nights I've gotten up at like 3am and sucked on a ice lolly..just water ones I made myself which helps so try that x
