Protein and your body!

I have read on multiple sites that your body can not process more than 20-30g of protein at one time. So needless to say I am going to stop trying to purchase expensive very high protein products and stick to ones under 30g.

Not true. It's another one of those common fallacies pushed by nutrition/bodybuilding sites, but it's been debunked pretty well. Protein is absorbed by the small intestine incrementally over the course of many, many hours. Your body will not "flush" protein like it does with other things like Vitamins and electrolytes. Digestion of protein is a long, long process that your body is highly efficient at. It doesn't waste macronutrients.

Bodybuilders consume 200-300g protein per day in order to build and maintain muscle. Don't worry, you're fine.

I sure hope so because I bought a lot of high protein things!!

Has anyone discussed this with their Dr? Curious what mine will say. I will keep y'all posted!
