Hi,
I came across this site after meeting La_Madam in person at Dr Ortiz's office while I was there for my first fill.
I'm a Lap RNY from 5/99 (performed by Dr Alan Wittgrove), went to goal and then after 2 post WLS babies, found my inlet and outlet drastically stretched and able to eat anything and everything... with the exception of large quantities of sugar.
Researched literally the entire world for a surgeon that was properly trained and demonstrated surgical competency on doing a lap band over a bypass patient. One surgeon that met those indicators as well as several others was Dr Ortiz in Tijuana.
Had surgery on 10/01/04, met some great new friends (surgical buddies) Michael and Jeff and went back home to Denver CO without any complications.
Flew back to San Diego on 11/14, Mike met me at the airport and together we crossed over the border to get our first fill. This is where I met La_Madam and she told me about this site. Got my fill, 2.2 cc's, flew back to Denver that afternoon and now 24 hours post fill doing my liquids.
Linda
