Question about sugar

I used to use equal in my coffee but since the surgery, I have not used it. Can not stand the taste of any type of stevia and have tried the flavored sugar free syrups and they taste good but am concerned that they have sucralose in it and it seems like it has the same effects as equal. I only have one 16oz coffee in the morning and was wondering how bad it would be if I just used sugar?

I am allergic to most artificial sweeteners so I avoid them. I can tolerate the sucrolose in Protein powders but if I am making a cup of tea I just use a small bit of the real thing or some raw honey. The point is to not overdo it. If you have issues with artificial sweeteners, talk to NUT and work something out. If it's just a ½ a tbsp once a day you may be okay. You just have to be aware of how much natural sugar is in anything else you eat for the day.

If you have an artificial sweetener that is in a powder form (like those packets) - they all have sugar blended in them. Was a shock to learn this for me.
