Same here and that you body really can't process aspartame.

I used to use Equal in my coffee and the Nutri said not to use it, to use stevia. I can not stand any form of stevia and am really thinking about using equal in my coffee. I have 2 cups, in 1 large cup, first thing in the morning and that's all. Is anyone else out there using equal. I'm 4 months post op and am down 82lbs. I feel like I should be able to have something small like that .

I am 3 and a half months post op and have lost 80 pounds. My wife and I were undecided on where to go for Breakfast the other day and thought about crepes but was unsure if I could eat them. What are your thoughts.

I've had my surgery on December 8th and today I am down 52 pounds and am concerned that I may loosing weight too fast. I feel fine but am still concerned. I am getting all of my Water in and also my Protein of 80 grams. I've started adding some carbs to try and slow it down some. Thanks for your advice.

Can not stand the taste of any type of stevia and have tried the flavored sugar free syrups and they taste good but am concerned that they have sucralose in it and it seems like it has the same effects as equal. I only have one 16oz coffee in the morning and was wondering how bad it would be if I just used sugar?

One of my incision sites is kind of hard and a little painfull. Do you think this is normal? Came around today after maybe overdoing it a bit. Hoping that I did not get a hernia. 2 weeks post op.

I'm doing a lot better now also. As far as sips, my sips are a little bit more than a baby sip but no where as near what I used to do! Good luck and get well soon!

I am lucky as everything is going well for me also. I even went to Wal-Mart yesterday and today to buy a few small things. Got a bottle of V8 juice as I've read that was ok to drink. I wanted to get the spicey but did not think that would set too well. Curious, did anyone else get staples in their incensions? All five of mine have them. No but the feeling does seem to be getting better.

I just got home from the hospital after being sleeved on the 8th. Everything went well and I will on on fluids for 2 weeks, than puree for a week and then the transition. My issue is that when I swallow something, weither it is hot, cold or room temp., I get a really weird feeling when the liquid hits the stomach. It's not a pleasant one and was wondering if this is normal and if anyone else has experienced it? Feels good to be on the post side now!

I could not have anything until my leak test was done, then had 2 oz broth and 2 0z Protein enriched Jello. Boy did that taste good. I hate to say it but my surgery went really good, did not have any gas paines or nauesa. My issue though is that when I swallow and the Fluid hits my stomach, it really feels strange, not a pleasant feeling. Happens with hot, cold and room temp fluid. Hope this is something that the stomach will adjust to when healed.

That has got to be my favorite food!!!!

Mine is tomorrow on the 8th also. My report time is 9:30 AM, not sure of the surgery time. I was lucky and only had to drink Protein shakes for Breakfast and lunch and could have a lean cuisine for dinner. I did cheat once or twice but it was only with a teaspoon of Peanut Butter. Thanks for all of the replies. My surgery is being done in North Carolina and I guess that I will just enjoy the stay. I'll pretend like I'm away on vacation!

My doctor has me slotted to stay 2 nights in the hospital, surgery on Tuesday and leave on Thursday. Is this normal? I see where a lot of folks seem to get out the next day.
