Your Favorite Protiens?

I'm trying to prepare for my band by practicing bandster behaviors. I would like to find a good protien shake or bar for breakfast. Please share what your favorites are. Thank you bandster buddies!

I make sure i drink Isopure by Nature's Best. 40g Protein, 0 carbs, 0 fat, 160 calories (must have calories to have protien). Comes in a 20 oz bottle and many flavors. I get mine from GNC. It's expensive $3-$4 per bottle, but it is worth it. I don't know how I would get all the protein I need with out it. My Dr. likes me to have about 60g of protien a day.

3 weeks + 1 day post-op today.

248 pre-op, 222 today

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this thread!!! I am pre-op (surgery is Aug 23) and I just stumbled across this thread. I asked the same question elsewhere and got nothing :) Stupid me....probably needed to ask a question about food in a FOOD THREAD!! I am NOT looking forward to my 2 wks of liquid.....but am willing. I was really curious as to any semi-tasty protein drinks. The one I tried at my doctor's office was blaaagh! Of course they want me to purchase everything from them. Thanks for sharing some other options! :)

I find that I can make a great protein shake with the standard protein powder, soy milk, ice and a tablespoon of fat free, sugar free pudding mix. The pudding makes the shake thicker with more staying power and adds very few calories.

I like Atkins Advantage Creamy Vanilla. The have 15 grams of protein, 160 calories and 1 net carb.

Where do you buy the Matrix 5.0? I am being banded on 8/15, and need to find a protein drink that is palatable. Thanks.

The best and cheapest place I have found is:

matrix 5.0 list of all sizes and flavors. Find all matrix 5.0 products at AllStarHealth.com

The price is the best I have found as well as shipping. No matter how little or how much you order from there the shipping is the same, $5.95 I think. I love the service as well.

Netrition.com and bariatriceating.com also carry it but they are verrry expensive. Ebay sellers have it but the shipping makes it more expensive than AllStarHealth.com - Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements at Discounted Prices.

I prefer the Chocolate, most prefer Cookies & Cream. I think C&C is wayyy too sweet, I just don't care for it. Never tried the Orange, and the Vanilla isn't really Vanilla, it's French Vanilla.
