Daveo, Sounds like it might be acid reflux, does the liquid you bring up have an acidic or bitter taste? If it is i'd go and get it checked out.

It could be acid. Are you on a PPI? I would call the doctor and get it checked out.

Since you aren't eating my wife's cooking , then maybe they should be checking (as previous posters wrote) for too much acid, acid reflux, gallbladder, etc.. Is there a pattern on when this happens

I'm 7 months post op and for the past month I have woken up three times by extreme nausea and then throwing up. I don't have anything before bedtime so I don't have a full stomach. Nothing comes up other than clear liquid. Last time it happened was yesterday at 4am. Does anyone else go through this?
