The struggle is real...

I'm 1 week post op and my surgeon said that I can start on the week 2 diet today. I'm trying so hard to get my Protein and Fluid intake in. I've been doing broths, Soups, shakes, New whey protein bullets, Isopure and Water. I'm sick and tired of the shakes and all the sugary stuff. It's so difficult when you come eating one way with a band to starting a new life with the sleeve. I need help or any suggestions.

Just hang in there and remember this is only temporary. I made it a point to only do 2 shakes a day and then have broth/clear Soup with unflavored Protein powder for dinner. I needed to have that break from all the sweet.

I think a lot of people struggle the first few weeks. Just remember that's it's temporary. Maybe you can do an unflavored protein powder added to some soup

Thank you guys. I actually bought the unflavored protein powder and tried adding it to the soup yesterday. That turned out to be a disaster it made the soup taste funky and I felt the consistency was super thick. I think it should be better to add when I'm able to do puréed foods & soft foods. I told my husband last night that I'm going to have to continue the shakes or the new whey bullets for a bit and just sub in some broth here and there because I just can't do the sweet stuff too much anymore. I know it's temporary but I'm going out of my mind here because I'm used to variety. I just need to get through this...help!!
