Happy November everyone. This is the month that we have all been waiting for. Good luck everyone.

8 more days..I'm November 9th. I've constantly been thinking about the future and how things will be. Can't wait to look and feel better.

Hi! My date is November 19th! So excited but really nervous! Good luck to you!!!

11/16 folks, anyone else starting their pro op diet in the morning??? I am so ready to get this show on the road! I am all ready. Thank God I found a protein shake I like. It'll make the next two weeks easier. I also got my dinners planned out. My pre op diet is shake for breakfast, shake for lunch and 4 Oz lean meat and half cup veggies for dinner. I'm sure it's gonna be tough but I am fully aware it could be worse. Let's gooooooo!! We got this!

November 10th!! It hasn't quite hit me yet but I'm ready!

I'm Nov. 12th....I'm 10 days into my pre-op diet...this is very hard...but losing 18 lbs already is helping keeping me going... I honestly can't say I haven't cheated on the pre-op diet..the cheats haven't been big like a meal or anything, but a hand full of nuts or a slice of cheese...It's so hard when I'm cooking for my family. I'm going to work very hard at not cheating the next week and a half..I'm so worried my liver won't be shrunk enough....

What does your pre op consist of? And how long? I am so interested in how they vary so much. Makes you wonder what is REALLY necessary, yanno? Mine is lienant compared to others, but then some people don't have to do one at all. I of course have had one shake and my mind is all ready screaming that it's hungry. This is such a mind game for me. I know I'm not hungry, it's because I am doing something that I know will be hard. If I hadn't eaten yet but wasn't on the pre op diet I'd be fine ( I had my shake). Head hunger is real! I am so excited though for this I hope it motivates me thru the next two weeks.

My Dr.has me on a 3 week (because my BMI is high) Liquid diet. it consists of protein fortified packets of chicken coup, hot chocolate oatmeal, fruit drinks shakes & pudding(1/2 the water makes it a pudding) and special protein bars. there is a list of allowable veggies. What got me thru the first 4 days, which were the hardest, is I bought some of those Adult coloring books and some colored pencils and worked on those while watching TV at night o keep my hands busy and something to do besides think about what snack I want to eat.

My date is the 19th also. Currently fighting off a cold that attacked me over the weekend. So essentially I am starting my liquid diet earlier.

Good luck. I can't even imagine having to cook for my family and not eating it up while doing the liquid diet. I had to do 1 day before my EGD and thought I was going to die of starvation. I bought Paracord to make survival bracelets and keep my mind and hands busy during the pre-op diet and Tylenol to help the inevitable headaches.
