  1. so glad you all are here... I have been very frustrated... I had surgery on 11/12 also, I lost 28 lbs pre-op and 15 lbs after ... and nothing for just over a week now... I'm still struggling with getting all the food & water in....so I guess what I'm going thru us normal ... trying to increase my activity but I have physical limitations so it's a slow process..
  2. from last BM pre surgery to post surgery was a week.... I'm still fighting constipation...was hoping to find some ideas..I'm 10 days post op and still at the liquid phase... It's probably from not taking in enough water.... I'm having trouble I taking enough ... but between pre-op diet and post surgery I'm down 42 lbs
  3. so excited the day is finally here!! at 4:30am (in 5 hrs) I will be leaving for the hospital....so looking forward to the future with a new healthier me!
  4. my surgery is in 4 days! I can hardly wait and want to get it over with. I am starting to get nervous, even tho I have has surgeries before, this is a big deal they're removing most of my stomach...just stick with it you won't regret it, I can't wait until I can buy clothes and look good in them and get off all these medications I take. the pre-op diet no lie is brutal, but I've already lost 25lbs which motivates me to keep going...
  5. I bought this book on kindle I didn't want to wait for shipping and I wanted to have access to it on my phone to help at the grocery store if I needed it. This is a must read! my surgery is in 9 days and the info in here was amazing...
  6. My Dr.has me on a 3 week (because my BMI is high) Liquid diet. it consists of protein fortified packets of chicken coup, hot chocolate oatmeal, fruit drinks shakes & pudding(1/2 the water makes it a pudding) and special protein bars. there is a list of allowable veggies. What got me thru the first 4 days, which were the hardest, is I bought some of those Adult coloring books and some colored pencils and worked on those while watching TV at night o keep my hands busy and something to do besides think about what snack I want to eat.
  7. I'm having my surgery on Nov 12th with Dr. Justin Braverman at the New Program... I have been very happy and feel I'm in good hands...
  8. you'll be fine... You got this!!! wishing you great success!
  9. I'm Nov. 12th....I'm 10 days into my pre-op diet...this is very hard...but losing 18 lbs already is helping keeping me going... I honestly can't say I haven't cheated on the pre-op diet..the cheats haven't been big like a meal or anything, but a hand full of nuts or a slice of cheese...It's so hard when I'm cooking for my family. I'm going to work very hard at not cheating the next week and a half..I'm so worried my liver won't be shrunk enough....
