    November Sleevers

Sleeved 11/10 too! I'm starting puréed tomorrow. My NUT considered cream soups and SF pudding a full liquid so I've HAF that already. I was worried I'm not losing enough. I'm glad to see we have similar weight loss stats! I'm 5'7.5" SW231 CW219.6. No pre op diet. Good luck to you! Also does your main incision still hurt? Mine does.

    November Sleevers

Hi Doggirl79,, i will be 7days post-op tomorrow, and yes my main incision still hurts if I bend the wrong way or lay the wrong way, or laugh to hard, or cough to hard... as long as I take my pain pills it dulls it, but when I forget..whooooo does it hurt.. I have not taken a shower yet, just using the the ol'washup routine.. I can touch my incisions without pain but underneath the main one hurts.. now on hunger, do you have hunger pains (cramps) or are you thinking your hungry with no physical alert.. I noticed that in the morning when I first get up, my stomach goes bonkers (cramping, growling) I have a small fridge in the bedroom with protein shake pre-made and I sip that.. after about 4-8 sips my tummy is happy and I can begin my day. I also like sipping warm team if i forget to pre-make my shake for the morning. I do have eye hunger, where I see something and want to nibble, but i hold back, I am seeing double digits losses of weight right now each day, I don't want to change that.. I have only had broth one time since post-op it did not sit well, but thank god for those nausea pills. thus so far I have only used nectar protein powder and crystal light. Keep your head up and happy anniversary ~MojoCAMI My hunger is physical. I do have really bad eye hunger but throughout the day I'm definitely physically hungry. I love broth! I guess it's the salt that makes me feel like I'm having an actual meal LOL I drink 2-3 protein shakes plus Fairlife skim milk. I'm getting about 80 grams of protein in. I'm losing on average 1.4 pounds a day. For me, that's great! I read on my approved food but I could have creamy soups and sugar-free pudding so I made some high-protein sugar-free pudding last Night I'm going to get some fat free cream soups and add some unflavored protein to those as well maybe this will help curb my hunger I also have been walking on my treadmill to alleviate some of the pain Thank you for your experience! you are most welcome, i have been contemplating trying fairlife milk, I use cashewmilk in my chocolate and vanilla protein shakes. The nectar protein shakes I just use water so no issue there. I don't recall being cleared for soups after the first week, but I am going call my NUT and ask I like creamy soups and I am happy its working well. I also forget about sugar free pudding, I make plenty of sugar free jello though. thanks for sharing as well. My NUT told us SF pudding and creamy soups (no food or chunks and can add water to thin it). But every NUT is different. To be safe I woukd ask to make sure. I think I Mai have a sleeve of steel! Before surgery I could eat nails and be ok. Good luck to you! Keep me updated on your progress.

    November Sleevers

Ok so I am 7 days sleeved as of tomorrow (Nicember17th). This is my 8 year anniversary with my best friend/hubby. ???? On another note... I. Am. Starving! No it's not head hunger. No it's not acid reflux. I am truly starving! I have little problem drinking a cup of broth. I get my protein shakes down no problem. I drink my water. I don't know if it's because I'm on liquids only and they just go through my sleeve? Is anyone else hungry? Also my main incision is still hurting really bad. After a shower I want to cry. I had my first cry-free shower today. But the site is super sore. Just curious if anyone is having similar issues?

How are you doing? Surgery went well. I stayed an extra day in the hospital so my dr could keep an eye on my blood clots. I am home now and then quite a bit of pain but it is becoming more manageable by the hour. Cravings and hunger are still hanging around. I'm trying to focus on sipping my Water and walking.

    November Sleevers

I was sleeved Tuesday. The first day I had virtually no pain and no complications. Today I am pain scale 10! I've had a few sips of water and clear broth. I'm very nauseated. the nurses have been on top of my Meds. I know it will get better. I have most of my pain on my bottom right side. I think it's the way I have to twist myself in and out of bed. Good luck everyone!

ONE MORE SLEEP!! Surgery is tomorrow. I'm waiting on the call to tell me what time to arrive at the hospital. I haven't had to do any sort of pre op diet but I'm on clear liquids only, today. I will be drinking the awful magnesium citrate starting at 3 pm. At 5 pm I put on my Nausea parch. I'm excited but extremely nervous. I have a blood clotting issue so if there are any prayer warriors out there, I could use some prayers! Good luck everyone!!

I have the exact same concern. Only my husband and best friend know. I have the same surgeon and clinic that one of my friends used for her sleeve. I make sure we don't go at the same time. I saw someone I know in my PET class! She called me out in TARGET! I had to lie and say I was considering lap band but I change my mind which isn't exactly a lie It's crazy hard to keep this private in a smallish town!

Yes we have a secret FB group Please send me a friend request on FB and I will add you to the group make sure to send me a pm with your surgery date so I can get you added quickly. Thank you for your interest in joining our nov sleeve group! Anna Montagna-Galanos Is this a private group? I haven't told anyone about my surgery. I would love to join the group but I don't want it to pop up on everyone's newsfeed that I joined a Sleevers group.

I feel for you. I will probably do a day or two before surgery of only liquids just to empty my stomach completely. I see my surgeon this Friday. I'm pretty sure it's the last time I will be weighed before surgery. I'm on blood thinner so I will need to do painful lovenox shots one week prior and about a week after. That's the main thing I'm not looking forward to ! PAINFUL!!

I'm not on a pre op diet. I'm right at 35 BMI. If I go below 35 my insurance MAY deny it at the last minute. My dr never even mentioned a pre op diet. So far he's been pretty lenient on me.

Aetna...What did you do to get approved?

    Congrats Thank you!

Aetna...What did you do to get approved?

I called today and I am approved! Yay!!! I don't have a surgery date as of yet. I need my pre op blood work and a couple other general tests. Will be calling tomorrow am to get that appointment. Aetna was pretty cooperative. It also helps that I bug them daily. Lol

Aetna...What did you do to get approved?

I have Aetna. I was denied due to a 3 pound weight gain. My problem is, I'm right at 35.1 BMI. I am not allowed to lose OR gain. I basically had to maintain. My denial is being reviewed. The Aetna medical director told my dr if I can lose ANYTHING within 4-6 weeks I would be reconsidered. That was 4 weeks ago. I lost the weight. I am on pins and needles waiting to hear back from them! My dr submitted the paperwork Thursday. I called Aetna Friday and I should know something Monday. I will be calling Aetna today (Monday) if I haven't heard from them. I'm so nervous I can't sleep!! ????????
