There are a few of us on here. I am in Alsip on the far southwest side. My sleeve was done 12/23/2013 at Loyola University Medical Center. Where are you having your surgery? What part of this great metropolis are you in?

I am in the northwest suburbs , Geneva area. How is everything going for you? My surgery is October 16th at St. Alexius In hoffman Estates.

Im on the far southside. Im shooting for an October date at the University Of Chicago.

I don't have a surgery date yet. Going through testing for clearance. I live in the south suburbs and my surgeon is Dr. Cahill.

I am doing well, thank you. Internally I feel like my body is functioning so much better.

Had my Sleeve 3 weeks ago...Northwestern Hospital. Struggling a little so far. Foggy mind, feels like I'm kinda drunk all the time. Probably just dehydrated...

5 weeks post opt. Down 48 lbs. still on liquids, protein shakes and creamed soups.

Happy New Year fellow sleevers. I'm currently waiting for approval from BCBS IL - paperwork was submitted this week - all of my clearances are complete. Hoping for a quick response - so I can get surgery scheduled ASAP. Getting sleeved by Dr. Joyce at Silver Cross in New Lenox. I feel like I've been jumping through hoops for the last five weeks - trying to get appointments with all the specialists and getting all the tests performed. Just joined this forum. - so far I'm finding it really helpful. Feeling that weird mix of scared and excited at the same time. Please feel free to offer helpful advice or information. I live in Joliet moved from Chicago. My bypass surgery is scheduled for March 1st.
