to those who had the surgery i know the day before surgery in the morning you have to take a laxative. So does that mean the day before surgery you cant have broth nothing?

I didn't have to take a laxative, but generally speaking most surgeries allow clear liquids only 12 hours before and nothing the day of. if you have a morning surgery time they may say nothing after midnight. Confirm with your doctor.

I had surgery on Monday and had to take laxative on Saturday

I was told to take it the day before. I was also on liquids the day before, with no food or water after midnight the night of surgery.
