    Women only lol!

Going through the same thing. I have PCOS so my periods are all over the place. I had surgery 9/10 and I am still having a period. I started the day after my surgery. I went to my doctor and she said it's coming because of hormones. I am getting ready to switch my band of birth control to see if that helps. I had an ultrasound done to make sure it wasn't anything serious. Unfortunately, I think I have to just let my body balance out.
  2. I also have PCOS, and started my period in the hospital, and it hasn't stopped for the last 6 weeks. ???????? I am going to the doctor tomorrow to make sure everything is okay. I was told by my surgeon that this is really common due to the amount of hormones stored in fat.
  3. Hey there. I am 5 weeks post-op and down a total of 40 pounds. I've noticed that it seems like I'm only losing weight on my left side when it comes to my stomach area. Everywhere else looks normal, except for my tummy. Anyone else experience this?!
  4. I walk 30-45 mins a day. I am also a teacher, so I am on the move all day. Just getting all my protein and liquids in everyday.
  5. Thanks!! ☺️ My life is amazing. I have no clue why I waited this long!

    Help/ right side pain

This pain for me was caused from where they took a biopsy of my liver.

    Small triumps!

I just returned to work this week, I am a teacher. I am down 31 pounds from the last time my kids saw me, 3 weeks ago. They keep complimenting my hair or my outfit. They know something has changed but they can't place it yet. I catch them staring at my badge picture and then looking at me. Hahah

    Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda

There is a chance you will start your period after surgery or once you get home. From what I've been told from my surgeon and from stories on here, it's super common.
  10. Hey there. I am 9 days post-op and I've been taking my multivitamins for two days now, twice a a day. When I woke up this morning, I had a rash on my leg and arms. I haven't done anything different except for the vitamins. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

    My experience..

I drink a shake over a 3 hour period. I pour myself 4oz and slip on that between water. I've been doing this twice a day to get my 60 grams of protein in. I am currently 8 days out. Hope this helps! ☺️ premiere shakes are 30grams of protein a piece.
  12. Same here, on birth control and still having a irregular period for the last two weeks. ????????

    Question

Laxative the day before by 3pm, then clear liquids only after that...
  15. As I am posting this at 2:39am, night 5 has been a rough one. When were you able to sleep on your side without discomfort?

    When, oh when?!

Yeah it's my right side. I guess I didn't think too much about that! Thanks for the reply. They took a biopsy of my liver during the operation.

    When, oh when?!

I walk about a mile a day, broken up between three walks. Thanks for the replies. I wish I could sleep on my stomach but I use a cpap machine.
  18. I had surgery 9/10. Feeling pretty good. Still have bad gas pains but getting better each day. Walking around the house, might burn a track in my small apartment. Going to try protein shakes today. Good luck to everyone on our journey!
  19. Hey there. I am having my surgery in one week! So excited! I was wondering if anyone else is choosing this road to help with their PCOS?
