How's it going?

Anyone else have surgery around the same time? I have yet to sleep in my bed. I had hernia repair and sleeve.

I know I need to be walking more, but I am so tired. I still have pain on my left side. I have felt better today than any other day. No nausea today. Was able to get all my protein in today, and close to getting my water.

Do you feel hungry at all? I don't but read that is normal.

I just had mine done on the 9th. I dont feel hungry either, i drink chicken broth low sodium and fat free and i drink diet snapples and water for my all clear liquid diet. I took meri-lax for the gas and i had my first bm 2 nights after my surgery. The walking helps to pass gas.

I have been on a liquid diet for 6 weeks now. I never really understood why my doctor made me start my liquid diet so early. Anyways, I just signed up on this app and already feel encouraged by the fact that my feelings are normal.

All I've been having is water and protein shakes, I may mix it up tomorrow and try some broth. I was on a liquid diet for 4 weeks, I feel your pain. I'm ready for more solid foods also!

My liquid diet started 2 weeks before my surgery, im doing an all clear liquid diet for 1 week after sugery, im going to start drinking protein shakes for the second week.

I got mine done Sept 8 too.

I am good with the pain, just taking Tylenol when needed. Still on liquid diet but new tummy is proving to be VERY picky about what it likes Protein wise.

I can no longer tolerate any sweet Protein drinks, no Nutrimed, nothing. Makes new tummy hurt badly. New tummy hates flavored Water too.

Thankfully I had some unflavored powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury protein and put that in some tomato Soup. So far, new tummy is happy with it.

Before surgery I didn't mind the premixed Premier Protein shakes, but after surgery I couldn't do it. I have since been mixing my own and it's going much better. Hope you find something you can tolorate.

Thanks Imag. Seems the unflavored in something like Tomato Soup makes new tummy happy. I think anything sweet will just not work.

Do any of Yall have trouble getting unjury unflavored protein to mix? Comes in really clumpy for me. Any ideas?

Btw, had sleeve done in 9th. Doing great, very little pain, doing lots of walking, still bloated and gassy.

For my unjury, I use an immersion blender, and it mixes fine. I know you can get clumping issues if mixing into hot liquids. I premix my Protein into my soup with the blender then heat it up and haven't had any clumping issues.

I had my sleeve done on 9/9 and I had a hernia as well. It is going ok so far. The gas pains were what was killing me but I took some Phazyme and I feel so much better. I have been walking and taking in a lot of fluids. I even cooked Spaghetti and Fried Fish food my family two nights ago. Was not hungry or had the urge to taste. I had my Mom taste the Spaghetti sauce for me. I am quite sure that would have tore my stomach up...

I still have some pain but have decided that it may be the stitch in my diaphragm or the stitch pinning my stomach to my abdominal wall. They said I will feel the stomach stitch release in a couple of weeks. It seems to hurt on my left side. Did they do the same to you?
