I had my sleep study a week before surgery. They had already scheduled my surgery and forgot to schedule my sleep study. They acted like it wasn't make or break to have the surgery done.
  2. Pure Protein or Premier Protein. Just my opinion. You can get the powder or premixed. I like the powder. Works well on a budget and you can get at Sam's and Walmart.

I got the chewables off Amazon. My NUT told me to mix them with my protein shakes. That was the best idea ever because they are horrible to chew. They are also super reasonable compared to the others that were recommended.
  4. Had the same exact thing happen. I am losing again, but it is so frustrating! We can do this!
  5. How's it going? Anyone else have surgery around the same time? I have yet to sleep in my bed. I had hernia repair and sleeve.
  6. Oh man. That sounds horrible. I was also sleeved on the 9th. Hate to hear all the problems you are having. Are you on pepcid? I take it twice a day. I am praying that things go back to normal and you start feeling better.

Multi vitamin with iron, calcium citrate, b12, vitamin d3, biotin, I also take a knock off of juice plus. I don't think it's just the Nicholson clinic, but any one whose chooses bariatric surgery needs to take vitamins forever. Also, I priced all the vitamins and supplements and found them so much cheaper not going through some of the places they recommended. Amazon, Sam's and CVS are your friends. Sam's and Walmart for your protein powder. Pure Protein or Premier Protein are on plan and much cheaper than others recommend. Hope this helps.
  8. I'm freaking out about this also, except mine is the 1 week stall. I lost 15 pounds the first week after surgery, haven't lost a pound since day 7 post op. I am getting my protein and water. I am trying to walk more hoping that will help, but it is scaring me. This is normal? I had heard of the 3 week stall, but not one week. Should it really be called the 15 pound stall?
  9. Maybe tonight will be your night! Good luck!
  10. @@Kgl24 I actually slept in my bed, all night long, best sleep ever. How is it going for you?
  11. The doctor didn't give me any restrictions, I am just having trouble sleeping. I tried to sleep in bed last night and that was horrible. I am back in the recliner tonight hoping for some rest. I did have the hiatal hernia repair as well as sleeve. I'm not sure where my discomfort is coming from. But for someone who used to have no trouble sleeping this is driving me crazy! My surgery was on 9/8 as well and included hernia repair. Still not able to sleep, waves of exhaustion bring me to a screeching standstill. I was beginning to wonder if this not sleeping issue was somehow related to all of the Vitamins my doctor has me taking and 3-4 hours of sleep was part of my 'new-norm'. Glad to know I am not the only one going crazy over this! So glad it's not just me, but praying we both get rest asap!

  13. I am with ya. I am so committed to not cheating. I have a friend that had the procedure 10 years ago and her advice was to not cheat for a year. She had surgery at the same time as 3 other friends, the ones that didn't cheat for a year have had tremendous success, the ones that did cheat never lost as much or have gained most of it back. That right there is all the motivation I need. My biggest complaint right now is that I cannot sleep. I am so exhausted, and I feel emotionally drained from the lack of sleep.
  14. I still have some pain but have decided that it may be the stitch in my diaphragm or the stitch pinning my stomach to my abdominal wall. They said I will feel the stomach stitch release in a couple of weeks. It seems to hurt on my left side. Did they do the same to you?
  15. awww , it hasn't hit me yet, i think it will in the morning, ur husband is awesome, mine is supportive as well, blessed......how are u feeling, how long were u in the hospital, what did u pack in your hospital bag, did u drive yet and how long will you be off work, sorry for all of the questions lol I am so thankful for my husband. So glad you have an awesome supportive spouse also. I feel better every day. I actually left the hospital the same day as surgery. I was 7 plus hours away from home so we stayed in a hotel the first night, then drove home the next day. We stopped every hour so I could walk around. I actually work from home and sat in the recliner with my computer and worked the last 2 days of this week. I did nap more than a few times and made sure to walk around at least every hour. I have yet to leave the house since getting home but we are planning on an outing today. I think getting ready will be good for me. I always feel better when my hair and makeup are done. I do have a traveling work trip in a week where I will be flying out of state and will be gone all week. I am a little nervous, but I do think I will feel much better by then, and know my limits. So if I need a break i will take one. All I took to the hospital were my clothes and meds that were sent to me before surgery. I turned my phone off and my husband answered texts from family and friends checking on me.
  16. Praying for all of you. I was sleeved on 9-8-15. I was an emotional wreck the entire day before. I basically cried myself to sleep, my husband was totally freaked out but was super supportive. You will all do great.
  17. Before surgery I didn't mind the premixed Premier Protein shakes, but after surgery I couldn't do it. I have since been mixing my own and it's going much better. Hope you find something you can tolorate.

I don't remember it taking 2 weeks to get things scheduled. Have you called and followed up?

    September Sleevers

I am so glad it is finally done. It has been a long time coming, but things moved quickly once I finally decided this is what needed to be done. I am still sore (had the sleeve and hernia repair ), and have yet to sleep in my own bed (I've been in the recliner) but I feel a little bit better every day. I started at 330, was 300 on my surgery date and have lost 7 pounds since surgery. I have had no complications. Thanks for asking. I know you will all do great and we will all be each others biggest supporters.

Had Surgery on September 8th! Good luck guys!
  21. All I've been having is water and protein shakes, I may mix it up tomorrow and try some broth. I was on a liquid diet for 4 weeks, I feel your pain. I'm ready for more solid foods also!
  22. I am 6 days out and I really want to poop. I have done milk of magnesia 2 days in a row and nothing. Is this normal?

    Pre op binge

I felt the same way before surgery. Just make sure you don't do it again. I am 5 days post op and I'm not hungry at all. My husband got donuts for my kids this morning and I had no desire to eat them. Stay strong, it will be worth it. I do think there will be times that I struggle and want something that is not okay, but I also don't want to be over weight anymore. You can do this!

I feel better every day. I had no nausea today. I was able to get my protein in through out the day and I think that has helped. I'm already down 7 pounds so that makes it all worth it. I'm ready to get back to normal.
