  1. Has anyone done the inverted gastric sleeve? If so how's your experience with it? And if done did you ask your surgeon to do the inverted gastric sleeve or did they recomend it. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

    Anesthesia.........

Yes. I understand totally it is very scary but at the end of the day it's so worth it and you don't not want to keep on postponing because then there not going to do it. And ready for both appointments I'm sure you have already done to do it all over again would be such a pain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Everyone reacts difference of their own journey with the surgery but I know that mine was great and I honestly had no pain I didn't even realize that I had had the surgery when I woke up Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Ok so one thing I know how to do as an adult is eat. I'm starting to struggle now I feel like I'm in this alone I know I'm not but I feel so limited now I'm an emotional eater or was and its like I'm thinking how many times I can eat how many ounces and trying not to eat and drink at the same time this is starting to all get overwhelming. I don't have food or cigarettes to turn to yes I can go out and walk but I feel so gloomy lately
  12. im just so frustrated i mean im an adult one thin i know how to do is eat i feel like im in this alone i have u guys but having someone for advice and support where i live isn't easy. i feel like now i don't eat to enjoy but just eat to survive

I think eating to 'enjoy' is what got many of us to the point of needing WLS. For me, I've had to shift my mind set and see food as fuel, not for enjoyment/pleasure, comfort etc.

It is a very big change to go from eating to enjoy to eating to survive. It doesn't have to be a bad thing though. Looks like you had surgery fairly recently? I can say that it does get so much better. At each phase there was something I would look forward to. At soft food, stage 3 it was scrambled eggs. At stage 4 it was being able to eat cooked chicken, fish, pork, turkey. You get used to finding the things that make you happy from a pool of things that make you healthy. There is so many posts on here with ideas for things to eat and tips to help make these early phases more bearable. Sometimes its hard to find the info you are looking for. If you have any specific questions or would like any tips for wherever you are at in your journey, feel free to ask on here, or send me a message. Good luck man!

If it helps, this is what I do: I have a protein drink for breakfast, cheese and some type of meat (total for both about 3 ounces) for lunch, for my two mid-day snacks (one before lunch, one after) I have a protein bar or a handful of nuts with a small portion of fruit, then for dinner I eat what I enjoy...just not a lot of it. I am still losing, albeit slowly, but I am almost one year out. Don't forget to exercise, it will help continue your weight loss. Oh, and I allow myself 3 small shortbread cookies for my evening snack. SMALL! Good luck to you.

    :-(

So I'm 6 days post-op and I'm alright. But the only thing is I'm not hungry at all but want to eat. I never really knew how serious my relationship to food really was until now I've done so much Soup sugar free Jello and Popsicles and broth and Protein shakes and tea pre-op and now post-op that I dred taking them especially my Protein Shakes I don't get nauseous but I have no desire of drinking it or having soup or sugar free jello or sugar free popsicles. And I'm not going to force myself to have them because I don't want to end up getting nauseous and throwing up. So my question is is there any advice or anything that you've done to get through the liquid phase until you got to your puree. Today I had sugar free chocolate pudding with sugar free whip cream and I felt like I was in heaven it was sad because my mother could actually see in my face how satisfied I was with that. Please if you guys have any advice or anything that you've done personally to get through it I would love to know. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
