2 days to go.

2 more days until surgery early Monday morning. I am super nervous now. Hoping for a busy weekend to keep my mind occupied.

  • Congrats! I just had surgery 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I'm doing great! The hospital stay was no big deal. I have had no nausea and sipped the broth, ate the jello and sipped the water slowly. I was fine.

  • Prepping all day. Clean house, wash laundry, last minute shopping and getting my hospital bag ready. Yay, this time tomorrow I will be out of surgery!!! It's getting too real. ????

  • Congrats to all. Hearing everyone's stories really does help to know I'm not alone. Positive stories about recent surgeries are good to hear too! Thanks all for sharing.

Hey it's good to hear things are getting better fit everyone. I'm still in the clear liquid diet until Tuesday then poured foods. I can't wait.

Jennolsen I tried the Isopure , I ended up liking the cocituen a lot better so I'm supplementing my broth meals with that.

Still get tired but was able to get out of the house a couple of times. In California it's really hot right now so it's nice to get dress hair in the evening.

Congrats J170. My surgery was at 8:00am that same day. How are you feeling?

So anyone having bathroom problems sense surgery. I seem to only be having diarrhea and in very small amounts. I pee all the time. I know there isn't really anything in there to make a bm but I hate the diarrhea and I'm always afraid I'll be sick if I fart. This sucks.

Diarrhea here too. Same fears about accidents. I have read that when solids start this will get better. That isn't until a little over a week for me, don't know about you.

Yes, diarrhea here too. I didn't have a full bm until my 5 th day post op. That worried me. I added fiber to my broths and that worked a little. I start nudge foods today. In excited that I can have yogurt.

Thank goodness for you guys. I was feeling like there was something wrong. I didn't want to go to the Dr and look like I was dumb.

Jewels34, my bad. I should proof read my messages. I meant mushy /pureed foods.

I stated today. I had yogurt. I've never wanted yogurt so bad. Lol.

I have my first post op visit with my surgeon and NUT. Should get to move from clears to protein drinks and yogurt. I hear you on the yogurt!

9 days! I got to move to the next step this afternoon. I had a few tablespoons of yogurt for lunch and 4 oz. of protein shake for dinner. Totaled a whopping 11.5 grams of protein. With a week of clears and now this I am sure I will be bald in a few months. My NUT didn't stress getting in protein at all. I'm a little concerned at how different all of the recommendations are from one doctor to another. Guess I should of asked more questions. I really thought I wanted to eat but my tummy hasn't felt quite right all day. Guess it just takes time.

Well another first today. I vomited this morning. I'm not sure exactly what brought it on, I did try adding unflavored protein powder to my chai tea. I had this immense pain and pressure in my chest and then got sick. Very strange. Less painful than I imagined it would be but disgusting just the same.
