Surgery in two days

My surgery was moved up to this Friday the 28th. I am so nervous and excited all at once. I have only had to do a day and a half liquid diet because I just found out about the surgery move up at lunch today. My surgeon is not doing it laproscopic. Has any body else had it done this way? Also does anyone want to be surgery buddies?

I am doing ok. I had my staples removed yesterday. Just trying to make sure I get all my protein in. I am sore but I think that is because my cut is so big. Thanks for asking.

Yep me too Pink!

That's exciting!

Hi! How are you doing?

Endoscopy scheduled tomorrow.

Good luck @Pinkgirl1234- I hope the scope goes well with no problems. Let us know how it went! :)

Endoscopy...I was told that my esophagus was torturous....distended from lap band...

Revision has gotta happen.

@@Pinkgirl1234 I had an upper GI done before my revision from band to bypass and I actually got to see what my esophagus looked like. The tech said it was twice the size of a normal one. Don't miss that band at all. Fingers crossed for you! Stay positive and visualize it being approved. (I'm a freak I know!)

@SunlnUT mine was dilated as well. Apparently my band was actually positioned too high in the first place then slipped up onto the esophagus.

@@Dream4tc Did you have any idea? Did it feel strange? When my surgeon got in there he said that my band was too tight and it had slipped as well. I had no clue!

I have a hiatal hernia that was picked up by the upper GI testing...the endoscopy totally missed it

@SunlnUT ...Well, I vomited everything I ate for a little over 9 months and knew there was something wrong. When I started having problems, I vomited a few times a day. After he removed all of my fluid, the vomiting got worse to all foods. It was terrible. Heartburn all day every day, if I ate and if I didn't eat. But now that I know , it makes sense as to my symptoms
