Prayers needed please

As some of you may remember from my ordeal, when my wife was getting discharged from her WLS they told her they found some cancer cells in the routine liver biopsy they do during WLS surgery. She went for scans and tests in December and January and they couldn't find any primary. So basically she has to get scans every 6 months just in case. So she had her 6 month scan in June and cancer specialist said they didn't find anything and he thought original pathologist misread biopsy after her surgery and he'll do one more scan the end of this year and no more if all still looks good. I asked specialist if he could send original biopsy out for second opinion so maybe they could definitively say they weren't cancer cells and all is good. We'll 2nd pathologist said they were cancer cells. So cancer specialist sent us to better specialist. Had appt today and this specialist found the tumor on the scan from January that our original cancer specialist ordered and missed. So angry right now as we have lost 8 months. She has tumor in small bowel and the lymph nodes there and of course there was evidence of cancer cells in her liver in December. She goes in for a focused scan next week and then they will tell us about the surgery and treatment she will need. Your prayers helped me with my rough time so figured can't hurt to have some more for my wife. They say the WLS can bring folks together or tear them apart, but we have grown much closer after surgery and my ordeal and it pains me she has to go thru this now. Thanks all

Hugs to u both .

Wow, I feel so bad for this horrible ordeal you and your wife have to go through. I would be mad as hell about this missed opportunity of treatments that should have gotten in the first place. Praying for you and wife! ????

Sending prayers to you and yours. And adding an extra one for your wife.

I'm so so sorry she will be fine!

My aunt has small bowel cancer. Apparently it's pretty rare. They took her into surgery, closed her up and said there was nothing they could do for her. They gave her 6 months. That was 6 years ago. She didn't give up and she found another surgeon at UTSW in Dallas. I think his name is Dr Bosch? Six months after her diagnosis, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, one of the deadliest. That was 5 1/2 years ago. There is hope. Because of the rarity of small bowel cancer and it usually is slow growing, it is hard to study in the early stages. Because it is often missed. Please let me know if you want any more information about my aunt or her doctors. I don't want to over share unsolicited information. You have my prayers.

@@nprcowboy, you have the right to be angry. I'm angry with you.

I just said a prayer. Keeping positive thoughts & wishing her a full recovery.

As others said, please keep us posted.

Sending good vibes and prayers for you and your wife.

Friend, you and I are in the same boat. My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer, stage 4, in May. He has just finished his 6th chemo treatment set last Thursday. It was a rough road. But the rougher road is still ahead for him, surgery, then 6 more treatment sets. Since he STILL hasn't had the PET scan, which he should have in the next week or so, we still don't know the extent of his cancer. The insurance is STILL denying the scan, but our oncologist said he would take care of it if insurance doesn't (bless his heart!). Living in the unknown is terrifying, for ALL involved. I KNOW your pain, your fear. People say all we can do is pray. Prayer is EVERYTHING we can do. I pray for you, as does my husband. Bless you both.

I pray for healing in the name of Jesus for your wife! Sending up timber for your family. Be encouraged, and God bless!

(((((HUGS))))

Sending up prayers and wishing you both the very best. Hugs from Texas to you both!
