Hi Everyone I'm having my lapband out and sleeve done on Sept 30th Wish it was sooner I go to a very busy Dr, here in Long Island, NY I even tried to get it pushed up a week they are so busy!! I'm on a waiting list Lol ! I have had my lapband since 2013 did not go so well really want to start over

Hi There well I can tell you from my point I only had my lap band 2 years and boy I wish I would have listened to my Dr !! I just thought well it can be taken out its the least invasive lol Well it's not really cutting or moving anything Haha!! How Dumb was I, the worst thing I every did to myself I am 5'1 started at 230 and now 206 lol did not need a lap band to lose that I only lost most of that because I'm on Meds for headaches Also, with my band I can't eat good food it sucks I can eat crap but if I want to have say a piece of Chicken and a salad or steamed broccoli nope gets stuck and I throw up but if I want chips and dip no problem makes no sense so good food don't work can't live like this so for 2 years we have been playing with fills in and out but it's just not working I hate it my husband and I will be out to dinner and I have two bites of food and I run to the bathroom and I'm throwing up it is no way to live! So now my team with my dr is going to take it out and do a sleeve all at one time so if you ever want to know more about the lap band just ask Good luck

Hi NY I'm from Long Island Suffolk Had a lap band In 2013 not doing good at all having it out and Sleeve done 9-30-15 can't wait going to Mather in Port Jefferson Love my Dr and Team Would love to hook up with anyone who wants to walk or anything like that I work as a Nanny in Nassau a few days a week to so anyone around there I can maybe meet there too! Or we can just start a Facebook page for Long Island - NY City why not ????

Wow This is crazy your team needs to help you get approved I had got my band in 2013 and had a low bmi they did everything to push me to get approved to find out what my inc company wants to get approved so a few things where sleep app. and guess what after a test I had sleep app. so I got approved even with a low BMI !!! Now that I want this band out and a sleeve same deal low BMI but I had a endo and I have a distended pouch and i still have sleep app i think i will get an approved I hope but they wait till they have everything they need to really push for you.. I hope you can maybe ask about some of this

Omg I totally understand this is something that is so not right And yes you do have to battle not only yourself but others who are just dam selfishly not knowing how much it really hurts people like us who really want to change and become stronger and healthier You are going to Win so am I we just have to look through them and keep going to our goal it's not going to all "Rainbows and Butterflies" but we tried everything else and we are brave enough to put our lives under the Knife to get there it must mean something We want to live!!

Hello Jamie, My Name Is Roseanne I agree with u 100% to be Nervous you should be I rushed into this and thought Because A lap-band is removable it was the right thing for me I really did not talk to all the people who had problems and said to myself I will never have a problem I don't care about the things they say about the lap-band I can do it!! well I was wrong The thing is It was the worse chose for me I can't eat good food So now I have to have it taken out and I chose to have a sleeve done.. after really looking into it talking to people and like the girl above me said going to a Center of Excellence makes a really big diffrance Where do you live? make sure your Dr Is good talk to his people in the waitting room ect.. let me know ok..

yes, i've had a few you should of had one before you had your Band put in? That was my first test they did on me before they even said I could get my band, it's really a fast test They put you out fast via IV then they wake you up you have a nice sleep it is really no big deal..

I tottaly get what your saying but you have a big problem with your band so this is not the same as mine, my band has only been in just 2 years only problem is I'm not lossing..and I just keep getting stuck.. And my team says for diffrent inc you need to meet diffrent things like weight checks etc..

I'm heard a lot about this 3 month thing and from what I heard it is more about getting your insurance to pay My Dr is one from a Center of Excellence so I think he gets to do things more

Hello wow you are brave it is so hard to go your whole life with weight on your right about your parents, when you say that you've been over weight even as a very young child It's just sometimes this goes on from years and years of poor eating habits that are passed on I've seen it with my kids there Dad has it in his family.. Now my children have it, and if you can't change it pretty much a birth your never gonna win I've had never had an problem with weight until my older years my late 20's after my kids where born ugh I was always 115 pounds to 144 my highest I would go on WW and in a few months be back but now I've tried it all nothing works and I just get bigger so like you I said this is it In 2013 I had a lap band worse thing I ever did but that's a different story now I'm going to have it out and have a sleeve soon my journey will be with u girls you are doing the best thing for your life's xo

Hi Lady's I too have a lap band got mine in August 2012 getting it out in sept and having sleeve at same time Hate my band only lost 20 pounds and just really hate it very nervous that I'm going to not recover ok Why are they making u wait 3 months that seams like a long time I feel so bad

Hi my story is almost word for word the same almost 2 years now only about 20 pounds I feel like i could of done this without the lapband the deal with me was My bmi is not really that high now so I'm not so sure they will aprove the revision Dr says he will do it but he is not sure as well

Quest Bars are the best I think they don't have a yucky coating there are so many chioces as well they are &&& they only draw back But I went to my GNC store and the guy told me I can get 2 boxs for 42 plus 20% off and mix them up...so I jumped some places they are 3 per bar... Try them :wub:

Hi Guys, I'm banded on the 7th all I can say is WOW... I'm not sure what I'm going through, this is a start of a BIG jouney But, it is life changing, how is everyone who just started doing?? My surgery went great, I stayed over night and came home and felt like I got hit by a truck...lol..I could not get up from bed...My body was so sore... then I got such bad Direaha ughh... but, it stopped, Pain has been getting less and less, I'm having a hard time with getting my meds in..they r nasty..any ideas? Today I feel tight ..have had no vomiting at all..so far

I had mine Aug 7 so far Im doing ok still very sore but all in all getting better
