2 days post op

Hi

My pre-surgery weight was 254 and upon discharge 261. It has taken two days to go down to 255. Is this normal? Did anyone lose weight before their 1 week post op?

Thanks

They give you fluids in hospital and you have some swelling. that will surpass in few days and as long as you stick with your post op you will lose weight. I lost about a lb a day once I got home 2 days after surgery

Don't worry about weight gain just post surgery. It's quite normal.

Congratulations on the surgery and speedy recovery :D

It's just Fluid. No worries.

It is just fluid. It will go away. The same thing happened to me. I was 5 days post-op before I saw any weight lose.

Thanks everyone. It's mind boggling given the limited nature of fluids yet you gain. Hopefully the scale will start tipping in the right direction.
