I had my sleeve done yesterday morning and am now home. I can't keep any liquids down - makes me nauseous when I sip anything. How do you get your liquids in?

Keep trying.

Make sure you are taking tiny sips (almost drips). You may also want to try crushed ice, sugar free Jello, and sugar free Popsicles.

It gets better.

Dehydration is no joke. Call you doctor right away. You'll gradually feel better, but he/she can give you something for the nausea now that will make you much more comfortable and avoid dehydration.

I wasn't allowed to even come home til I could show that I held fluids down, I would also call my surgeon ASAP, it is serious

I used a small medicine cup...1 oz and tried to drink 1 every 10-15 minutes. By day 4, it was so much easier. Hang in there!
