@@JohnT and @@Nyelaah what you both are feeling I think happens to a lot of us. I had a couple of bites of Mexican food last night. I have skinless wings about 1-2x a month I can only eat 2 or 3 but I

My surgery date is July 20. I'm male, 5'7" with a BMI of 40. I began my preop diet Monday and so far have lost almost 5 pounds. My diet is primarily a Protein shake for Breakfast, one for lunch, and a lean protein and vegetables at dinner. I also am drinking 64 ounces of Water (or the like) each day.
So I've said good-bye to espresso drinks, ice cream, Mexican food, Wings, Beer, etc. And now I'm starting question my decision to go forward with the sleeve because of the permanence of this procedure. The way I see it I will rarely if ever be able to enjoy these things again.
However, I know my health will improve. My Diabetes Type 2 will disappear quickly, my sleep apnea will become less of an issue if not go away all together, and my high blood pressure and cholesterol numbers should improve as well, not to mention getting into a normal weight range.
How did you deal with the buyer's remorse, and what would you have done differently if you had to do it over again?
Thanks!
