My first pureed meal!

The day is finally here! I had like four slices of gyro and two tomato slices and a teeny bite of pita. Technically I pureed it in my mouth by chewing the hail out of it. I feel good! I ate barely more than my one year old but more than a couple of bites I would say I had about 12 good bites. I'm happy with that.

I want to try rice but I'm so afraid! All I've been eating so far is meat, mashed potatoes, and carrots. How did the rice go down?

In so jealous! I can't start pureeds until the 10th. I am already anticipating my first meal.

The rice was VERY easy, but Mexican rice tends to be very soft so it was easy to turn to mush in my mouth first.

Ugh next off the list is chicken salad :(

That's awesome everyone. Very proud of the vomments,in portion watching and eating throughly. Great work!

One thing to consider is the protein amount you achieve in a day. Everyone's Dr is a little different but your body needs around 50/60 proteins a day or you can more easily have other complications. Also, protein helps your body not break down muscle and helps prevent hair loss in many cases.

Of course following your Dr recommended levels of food types is key since everyone is different, put trying to eat protein first and then other things can be really important

I also started pureed food this week. I made chicken salad and put it in the food processor. It's not totally pureed, but it is close. When I eat it I get some pain like I need to belch. I'm wondering if I am eating it too fast. I am paranoid about leaks, but I am not having any other issues.
