Hi everyone! This is the first time for me posting in this forum. My surgery is set for June 29th. Anyone on or around that date that wants to follow each other's progress? I start the 2 week pre op diet tomorrow...kinda had a food funeral this weekend. :)

I had a shake with PB2 in it for breakfast, a protein bar for lunch, and salad with fat free dressing for dinner. I cheated the Friday before surgery and had sushi lol. It wasn't too bad. I lost 10 pounds in those 2 weeks. It gives you a jump start on losing weight. If you're anything like me you won't have trouble at all. Though a few on this thread have had some different experiences than I. Good luck!!

Smrogg, where did you find PB2. My grocery store doesn't carry it ????. My hubs found another powder peanut butter but different brand. I'm trying it tomorrow!!

I went to the dr today for my follow up. I lost 21 pounds!! ???????????????????????? the reason why my incisions itched so much is be I had an allergic reaction to the glue! Dr gave me a prescription to clear it up. Otherwise they said in doing very well.

Already 21 pounds? I'm jealous. I'm down like 8.5 or so

Well, I'm counting from the time I started my preop diet. I've lost 11 pounds since surgery. 10 pounds with the 2 week preop diet

Oh ok, I don't feel as bad then, haha.

Congrats ! That really sucks you had an allergy to the glue. I changed my gauze where they pulled out the drain from and it looks gross and not completely sealed.

One week surgiversay kell ! Can't wait until we're feeling like gold !

And today is my birthday!! So I enjoyed some Outback potato soup and iced tea!!! Felt so good starting on mushy foods!! How about you!!?

I'm so jealous... I'm on the full liquid until next monday

I'm so sorry Arianna! Just the thought of liquids makes me nauseous but I'm glad I did it to help my tummy heal. You can make it!!!

Kell that sounds good, I didn't do anything yesterday I wasn't feeling great (nausea) but I'll finally get to go visit my new niece today. Ariana I'm so sorry, that really freaking sucks a lot !!!

Yeah, it does. But that's how this surgeon does it. Clear liquid in the hospital, full liquids until you reach 14 days, pureed for 3 weeks, then solids.

I was lucky where I only had liquids in the hospital and my pre op was shakes fruits and one real meal of food a day. I hated liquids, thinking of broth makes me want to barf. You're brave for enduring all the liquids !
