Hi everyone! This is the first time for me posting in this forum. My surgery is set for June 29th. Anyone on or around that date that wants to follow each other's progress? I start the 2 week pre op diet tomorrow...kinda had a food funeral this weekend. :)

I hope for all of us a safe, uncomplicated surgery, and an awesome start to our new journeys and new lives

Hi! I am starting my 2 week liquid tommorrow and I read we can have sherbert and ice cream ? is that true??? I probablly need to call my nut. and find out. It is liquid when it melts so...............? I hope this is a piece of cake???? Everyone always makes it and so well I. Any hints that ones has are appreciate.

Peg, I would call you NUT. The diet I was on for 2 weeks was different. I only had to do all liquids for 2 days prior. But I would say that ice cream has to be sugar free. But like I said check with your NUT. GOOD LUCK!!

How is everyone doing?? It wasn't as bad as I thought. I did 5 rounds around the floor in on and keeping my liquids down. I was so scared for nothing!

@kell778. Best advice I can give you is get that catheter out as soon as you can, once that's out, Walk like crazy. It really does help the gas pains. And stay on top of pain meds. Don't wait til you feel discomfort. Because once the pain is there it seems like forever to go away. Good luck to you. I haven't even seen weight loss yet and I'd do this again in a heartbeat. Good luck! Prayers sent your way.

My surgery went well. Im just having a bit of gas pain but it's not unbearable. Walking the floors as much as I can which makes me feel so much better. ????

How is the pain ? Congrats on making it through !!! ????

I have very little pain. When I first came out of surgery it was more of being uncomfortable and painful. I was agitated and bitchy lol. Now I'm fine. I keep walking. I would definitely do it again.

And I just want to say that for the FIRST time in my life I am proud of myself. I've have had many accomplishments in my life, but this is the first time I am proud of ME. Choosing to do this was the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life. And now that the surgery is over and I'm doing great, I know I'm going to succeed. I hope that I can set an example for others who are struggling with weight. I am also very proud of everyone on this conversation. We did it!!! Now we have to stick to it. I am seriously so proud of you all!!

Ahhh. You are awesome! I needed that today. I have hadixed emotions for tomorrow. But... I checked my current BMI and knew I was making the right choice.

That's amazing ! I'm proud of you for being brave to do this! The fact that you said you'd do it again makes me feel better, I don't know when I developed this unrealistic fear for tomorrow but I'm really trying to not be afraid. Keep us posted, good luck !
