I am one week post op and wondered how much weight people have typically lost at this stage and also at 2 weeks post op.

It's completely different for everyone. For me I lost 17 lbs. the first two weeks. That doesn't include an 8 lbs. gain the 2 days I was in the hospital from all the IV fluids. I started at 326 the week before my surgery...did my liquid diet...was 311 the morning of my surgery...and was 17 pounds down exactly 2 week from surgery.

Stay focused on the right things and look long term. Enjoy the ride...it's great to see the pounds leave weekly.

Depends on start weight, BMI, age, sex, etc... Weightloss numbers will vary.

I gained 6-7 lbs from fluids and took a few days to lose that... I ended up losing 6 lbs the first week and 6 the next week, so I lost 12 lbs in the first two weeks.

In my first two weeks - I too jumped up and then down. Morning surgery 330, and two weeks out 310. Total loss in 2 weeks was 20 pounds.

I lost 16 lbs in the first 16 days! Now I'm loosing a pound a week, which I'm fine with! I only have 13 more pounds to goal!
