Salsa with Eggs - 12 hours later?

I had an egg with a little bit of salsa for dinner last night. The salsa wasn't too spicy and now, the next morning, I feel like someone punched me in the stomach. I take prescription prilosec daily. ???? I usually have my morning shake right now, but I don't know if I can "stomach" it. Anyone else with this type of feeling after eating? It's not pleasant!

My "Miss Tummy" will punish me for hours if I eat something she dislikes. Still, at 15 1/2 months, she is the boss of me. My whole day depends on what her attitude is going to be, and that requires me to listen to what she is trying to communicate to me.

Miss Tummy can't send me an email, so she will get my attention through hiccups, burps, sneezing, pain and nausea. Miss Tummy is inconsistent and will not like something today that she liked last week. She literaly is the boss of me and can easily ruin my day or my sleep if I get too independant and go back to my old ways.

So, to answer your question: Yes, sometimes the discomfort message is delayed, but she eventually get she my attention - even if it is the middle of the night.

I call my pouch "grumpy".

I've been "foaming" & puking.

What do u take or drink when ur pouch is upset.

Before surgery Id run to ginger all or 7up. Now I'm lost and uncomfortable at work.

Plz help!!

For some until the food is out of the system either by puking or BM the discomfort is there. I don't know how far post-op you are, but spicy foods like salsa may be something you'll need to hold off on for a while.

I'm almost 2 months out and take omeprazole. Salsa kills my stomach, and yet I keep trying because I love it so much. I'm hoping I just need a little more time :)

My band has clearly shut the door on salsa, onions(raw), bread, tomatoes and Chinese food...

Took me years to finally say I won't try those again. Or later.

I cannot figure out the Chinese food restriction... So I just say: Ok band. We are doing things your way...

If it happens again try popping a Tums. You might have had some breakthrough acid even though the Prilosec is usually enough to control it.
