1 week post-op...

I had the gastric sleeve one week ago today... I've lost 16lbs my first week, which I am ecstatic about... But this liquid diet is killing me... I miss food! I miss biting and chewing and all that. I miss flavor! I refuse to eat anything before the surgeon ok's it. I see him in two days... Anybody else feeling this way?

Can you chomp ice? I know someone said snow cones with sugar free syrup

I had surgery on 5/4. Can you do sugar free popsicles? They are my saving grace right now! I bite it and then let melt in my mouth.

I had a band to sleeve revision on 4/30. I started my semi-soft foods today. It is nice to eat something. I can eat 1/4 cup and I'm full. Not that I get hungry anyway. It is just nice to taste something. In a week I can start on soft foods which includes eggs, ground meats, flaky fish, etc. I only had to do 2 days of clear liquids and then did full liquids until today. Odd how different each surgical group is with both pre and post diets. My surgeon told me at my two week check that I absolutely must eat six times a day. I read others are told only 3.

I found them at Walmart & Kroger

Wal Mart, most grocery stores. Popsicle has a tropical pack and regular orange/cherry/grape pack. I have a box of each at home and at work.

First of all let me say I am proud to be on a message board with all of you. I started out 379lbs and I was sleeved on 5/4/15 . Today is 5/14/15 and I 355lbs. It's not easy for me but I have no pain at all . I just want to chew and I am sick of tasting protein shakes and juices that now I just drink water. It is getting easier and i am like all of you will never give up thank you everyone.
