I remember reading about it happening to people shortly after surgery. Maybe it's your body's way of reacting to the anesthesia or the trauma of WLS. Did you have the surgery recently?

Morphine!

I itched a lot. .I brought a back scratcher to the hospital and continue to use it now. The first few days, I was very itchy.

morphine, surgery...ok. so time for another benadryl!

  • 2 weeks later...

Thank you I thought I was the crazy one. Now I understand better but I started itching on my second week home after surgery. It lasted for two weeks. The worst is over. By the way the allergy pills didn't help me but I have a better understanding of why.

Good Luck all!
