To Those Who Have a Funny Bone

Weight loss surgery can be a daunting experience under the best circumstances. That’s why this journey is more easily traveled with boon companions who lighten the load with a positive attitude, some self-deprecation, and a sense of humor.

We have in common our WLS challenges, but we also have a lot of differences. So come in, pull up a chair and leave your self-righteousness outside. If someone on the board gets huffy because everyone doesn’t see things their way, don’t huff and puff and try to blow their house down. Instead, come over to this thread and crack a joke or post a cartoon.

After all, there’s nothing healthier for us than a good belly laugh.

  • I have been married for almost 26 years, and when people ask me "What's your secret?" the first thing I tell them is LAUGH. Try to find humor in even the toughest situations (appropriately, of course)

What a breath of fresh air ( literally) after reading a post repeated several times about someone's funky workout clothes! Really? This is your biggest problem ? ( guess that should go on rants and raves).

Anyway nice to lighten up - thanks for the LMAO this morning.

These might not be true after surgery but they sure are now:

If my body is ever found dead on a jogging trail, just know

I was murdered elsewhere and dumped there.

Might wake up early and go running

but I also might win the lottery,

the odds are about the same

This actually happened yesterday. I broke out in a prickly heat rash after running. This made me laugh though!
