Day 4 post op

I was banded on 3-18 and so far so good, except for the gas pain in my shoulders. I was surprised at how little belly pain I have experienced. In the hospital the nurses kept asking if I needed pain meds, but I didn't. Gas x and the heating pad are getting me through the shoulder pain. Looking forward to my first post op appointment next week so I can be advanced to the next stage.

Welcome to life with the lap band. I had mine in October. My advice to you is to be sure to follow the doctors orders, and to walk a lot. you will do great.

I quit taking the pain meds after 2 days, didn't need them. ? I just followed my Drs orders 95 % of the time and the weight fell off ! I look and feel like a million bucks !!! It was so worth it, and not as hard as I thought. Good luck to you !!
