Bodybugg users report here!

Hi, well, I've been reading the bodybugg reports and finally got one after not being able to lose a pound after 6 weeks. I was banded on February 13, 2007. At that time, I weighed 271.4. Six weeks ago, I weighed in at 246 and went back up to 249 due to fat loss/muscle gain. (Not complaining there) that is where I stayed until now. I wasn't depressed since I thought I was doing everything right. I was eating less and excercising more. Well, at least that is what I thought until I got the bodybugg. Pudin' was a big inspiration for that one. I've had the BB for 3 days now and I finally broke through the plateu. I'm right back to 246 with more fat loss and muscle gain. It's so exciting.

I guess I needed lapband and armband. I'm just banded everywhere. LOL!! It really is motivating to see where you are at with the numbers. Even though I was exercising my butt off, it still wasn't enough and now, I know how much more I have to exercise through the day. It's fun to see the scale going down again. Finally!!!

Anyways, I think we should log our stats for the bodybugg on here. It's really fun!!

So far, 3lb weight loss on the bodybugg/lapband from June 4-7. YEAH!!!

The bodybugg is meant to be worn on the right arm. There are sensors on the bodybugg that detect body temp and air temp and if you have it on the left arm, those sensors will be backwards. Now if you

When you go to bed that way tomorrow will be complete. How many calories did it tell you to burn?

2450 and intake should be 1250. SO excited to see how this works. I am sure I will be hopelessly addicted by tomorrow evening LOL

Hi Juliansmom...you have to seperate the "frame" from th device it self. If you hold the device facing you, bracing the outter frame with your index fingers and press on the center of the device with you thumbs, but not applying any pressure to the back it should pop (away from you ) right out.

Thanks so much for your help! :scared2:

You've probably figured it out by now... but hold onto the outer square and press hard in the corner by the last "g" in bodybugg. You have to press hard-- don't worry- it won't break! (it took me a while to figure out how to get it out, too.)

Does the bodybugg register your sleep?

Sure does! I've had this thing less than 24 hours and I'm in love with it already!

The only thing that's a pain in the tush so far is the food logging, as I've had to manually enter several things already, but since I eat mostly the same things (I'm boring LOL), it will save it so I don't have to re-enter constantly.

For those iPhone users, I'm looking for the app on my iPod touch, but it doesn't seem to be coming up. I did a search for "bodybugg" and "body bugg". Should I be searching something else?

Thanks!

so if you sleep 6 hours, it will show up on bodybugg that you slept 6 hours?

I bought it!!! I got the pink one! :smile2: I am so excited.. It was shipped right at too!

My Bodybugg is being dumb! While I was walking it seemed like the display was pausing. Minutes would go by and the amount of calories I was burning per minute wasn't going up. So I tried to reboot my band (not thinking it was maybe just something wrong with the communication between the band and the display) and now it says my band isn't set up and I can't connect it to the computer while I'm at work! I rebooted yesterday just fine without having to reconnect it. Why's it being so idiotic today?! :smile2:

I don't know what I was thinking. I wanted the pink one too, but I guess I was so excited to just be ordering one, I forgot about that. Oh well--Off to order a pink armband LOL.

Did you guys see these cute little skins? http://www.bodymedia.com/Shop/Accessories/BodyMedia-Skins;jsessionid=0a010c471f43ec558bc514754b80bfeaa29ff9888cab.e3eSch4MaN4Re34Pa38Ta38Qc3n0 Of course I ordered one on Monday. Can't wait for it to get here!!

about how many calories a day does your bugg tell you that you are burning? Just want to make sure mine is working properly...it seems to be giving me pretty high calorie readouts??

It tells me I should burn 3450 calories and that I should consume 2400 calories. Each person is different. It depends on your goals that you set, your weight, and health.

Do you totally love your body bugg? I'm asking because I wanted one but a friend of mine got it and said the 'novelty" wears off after a while. She said she doesn't wear it anymore because people look at her like she's crazy. (And with warmer weather I guess it's more obvious that you have it on)

I'd like to hear from bandsters to see if it helps. Because I really do want one. I'd like to have some sort of idea how many calories I'm burning.
