  1. Hi, well, I've been reading the bodybugg reports and finally got one after not being able to lose a pound after 6 weeks. I was banded on February 13, 2007. At that time, I weighed 271.4. Six weeks ago, I weighed in at 246 and went back up to 249 due to fat loss/muscle gain. (Not complaining there) that is where I stayed until now. I wasn't depressed since I thought I was doing everything right. I was eating less and excercising more. Well, at least that is what I thought until I got the bodybugg. Pudin' was a big inspiration for that one. I've had the BB for 3 days now and I finally broke through the plateu. I'm right back to 246 with more fat loss and muscle gain. It's so exciting. I guess I needed lapband and armband. I'm just banded everywhere. LOL!! It really is motivating to see where you are at with the numbers. Even though I was exercising my butt off, it still wasn't enough and now, I know how much more I have to exercise through the day. It's fun to see the scale going down again. Finally!!! Anyways, I think we should log our stats for the bodybugg on here. It's really fun!! So far, 3lb weight loss on the bodybugg/lapband from June 4-7. YEAH!!!

    Milk curdling in pouch?

    OMG...I thought this was only me also. It mainly happens when I drink non-fat, non-organic milk. Whenever I drink 1% Organic Milk, I'm fine. I don't understand why the other curdles. I hate throwing those nasty curdles up.

    My Port Has Flipped!

    Just to update y'all that my port is fine. I've just lost more belly fat and it seems to have pushed upwards some. I haven't had any pain all week..yay! So, I guess next time I feel a stab, it's just a wierd type of normal. LOL!! Now, if only my weight loss wasn't so slow..but, the Dr. is very happy with my results. I'll take it. LOL

    My Port Has Flipped!

    Hey y'all! Well, I think I may have a flipped port or a floating port (I think I may have pulled all the stitches..not sure) Anyways, it's been stabbing me, poking me, etc. At times, it takes my breath away so I'm not sure what happened. When your port flipped, did you experience any pain with it? It's not constant but, it stabs me when I least expect it. So, I have an appointment with the Dr. tomorrow. I hope it's okay but I have a feeling it will need to be replaced. YUCK!! Charlotte Oh, I just looked at my weight. I'm still at 218. 5. Oh, well..I'm not up and I love my band. LOL

    Slow Losers Unite!

    Hey Y'all, Well, I went in for my fill today and even though I had not lost much weight since August, I did have a major NSV! My Dr. was very happy with my results. I lost over 19lbs of fat and gained 10 lbs of muscle. So, okay, I'm happier now since I know what is going on. I got a fill of 3.1cc today. Can't wait to see what this does for me.

    HI Doddie: Wow, our stats are very close and we even got banded around the same time. I'm so glad I came back here. I really needed to get this support back. BTW- I can honestly say that I have never kept off 50lbs in a year! So, this is quite a success story for me. Now, on with the other pounds. Um, I mean off with the other pounds.

    Thank you! Yes, it had been quite frustrating. A friend of mine got the lapband 5 months after I did and she has already lost over 60lbs and she says that she doesn't even exercise. It's funny how our bodies can be so different. Wish I could lose the weight like her..but, it will come off.. just much more slowly. I want to be skinny so badly.

    Hey Y'all! Well, here I am! I started this thread and dissappeared because I hit a freakin' plateau. I never gave up though and always used my bodybugg. Last week, I finally figured out that I had to push myself a little harder! And Voila...it has started coming off again. My body is stubborn! If it wasn't for the bodybugg and lapband, I would go insane. So, when I hit another plateau, I'll just figure out how to push myself harder next time. I will when this battle. How can I not?     Slow Losers Unite!

    It's amazing how many slow losers there are with the band; however, when I told my Dr's office that I haven't been losing weight since August, they said, that I should have been losing at least 2 lbs a week and that I must not be at restriction.:smash: I ensured them that I was and told them that I had been exercising..etc. So, I made an appointment to speak to the Dr. about it on the 22nd. Now, here's the funny part. After I got off the phone with them, I decided to break out of my routine and really go for some hard routine for exercising and that finally did it. I'm not sure how long that will last. I mean, if I hit a plateau again, what in the world will I do then? My body is stubborn and it's really going to make me work for this. But, I can honestly say that in the 11 months that I have been banded, I HAVE NOT GAINED 1 LB!! :wink2:That makes it all worth it! So, I'm slow. So what? right? I'm not gaining and I don't think I'll ever see those 50 lbs again. So, I've decided to embrace the slowness. Yes, I'm rambling!

    I got Leslie Sansone's walking DVD from QVC. One of the DVD's is an intense 4 mile walk. It's done the trick for me. I'm down another lb this morning. I guess my body needed a major shock. It really makes you sweat and I burn about 620 calories in one hour doing it. It's pretty amazing.

    Hey Y'all! Well, thought I would join on here now. I am a slooooowww loser too. Even with a body bugg and exercising, my body is so freakin' stubborn; however, it confirms why I got the surgery in the first place. In November, I went on 2 vacations and really thought I would lose weight..but no, not even 1 pound. In Scotland, I walked over 50 miles in 3 days and only ate about 1200-1400 calories/day. Then, I headed to Bora Bora, where I snorkled, walked and swam daily. NOT ONE LB LOST! So, as you can tell by my ticker, I haven't lost much since August '07 and I think my restriction is fine. But, my Dr. wants me to come in next week anyways for a small fill. I changed up my exercise routine last week and broke through the plateau. I lost over 5 lbs! I hope this continues! Looks like I have to really exercise to lose anything. My friend got the lapband in July and has passed me up and never exercises. UGH!! I'm happy for her..just don't understand me. LOL Good luck to y'all.

    This is awesome. Yesterday, I reached my first 1500 calorie deficit and I promised myself that I was going to do that everyday to lose the 3lbs per week. I'm going to Tahiti in November and want to look decent in a swim suit. I love that y'all are doing this too. So motivating. Julie, how did your date go? I can't wait to go on my first date. Not quite ready right now..but, I feel it coming on. LOL!!

    Hi Everyone!! Wow, great job you y'all!! Well, I'm still wearing mine everyday and I'm down a few more pounds. I love it! Not to mention that I have pretty good restriction right now. So, that's a huge plus! I'm definitly having to eat smaller portions now..and at a much slower rate than what I was doing. I really have a goal to meet now. I'm taking a trip to Bora Bora/Tahiti with my Mother in November..and well, got to look decent in a swimsuit. So, I think the bodybugg/lapband is really going to help me get down. I love when there is a prize...seems so motivating. LOL!! Keep up the good work!! Charlotte

    Hi Karey, My Dr. has special scales that prints out a detailed body composition analysis – weight, impedance, body fat %, body mass index, fat mass, fat-free mass and more. He's able to tell me if I lose/gain muscle. He would rather see me gain muscle than lose weight and muscle. Whenever I do have a gain, It's usually muscle so I'm very happy about that. :whoo:I really need to stay off my scales and just stick with his. I feel better about myself on his. Charlotte

    Hi All, Thought I would update everybody. I haven't logged in a while because, well, the scales were going up. Yes, even witht he BB. So, yesterday, I went to my Dr. to get an adjustment. A couple of weeks ago, I was too tight..then, when he took some out, I was too lose. UGH! Oh, the fun of the lapband. LOL!! So, anyways, when I weighed in yesterday, it showed a 3.8lb weight gain.:omg: But, the good news...IT WAS MUSCLE!! :whoo: Now, does anybody know how I log that into the BB!! BTW, I have no idea how I gained the muscle. Wish I knew so I could do that again. My Dr. was very happy and is putting me as one of his patients on his website. Great, now I'm going to be very accountable. LOL!! I stilll love my bodybugg and I'm going on 5 weeks of owning it. It keeps me accountable...wether I gain or lose. LOL!! So, I'm back up to 242...but, that is muscle gain. I'll take it.

    It is great!! I love it!! Wear it everday....even on my bad days when I don't reach goal because of a 9 hour meeting, where I have to sit the whole time, I can see what my body is doing. I've learned that my job is so bad for me. I only burn 72cal/hr while in a meeting. It sucks and by the time I get home, I'm dead from it. But, still logging everything and I know when I'm not losing..why I'm not!! Plus, it's that time of the month. UGH. So, when that's over, can't wait to get this going in my favor again. LOL!!

    LOL!! Thank you!! I actually just got some energy back. My Dr. gave me a slight unfill today. Went from 3.1 cc's to 2.5 cc's. I feel so much better already. I'm able to eat something. YEAH!!! I swear, for people that are too tight and PB all the time, I don't know how they do it. It hurts and is unhealthy!! If I wanted to BP, I wouldn't have gotten the band...I would have become bulemic. UGH!! Anyways, I agree that you should log your food. Once your food is in there, it only takes seconds!! And, you'll know what you still need to burn. Sometimes I'm amazed at how many calories I take in and learn where I need to cut back. And other times, I'm amazed at how many more calories and can still eat for the day and lose weight. I have a problem with fat and Cholesterol. But, as long as I'm losing, I fine with that. LOL!! Anyways, I'm up a couple lbs due to that time of the month. Can't wait until this is over! LOL!! I want to start seeing the numbers come down again. Whoo hoooo!!!

    Bungachickaboomyayeah!!! Alright!! Congrats on getting one!! You'll love it. Hmmm....yeah, 3 of my friends of gotten one now. I guess I do gush over it. LMAO!! Hey, I like it better than the gym. Gosh knows I've gotten better results with it. Now, if only I could combine it with the gym. LOL!!! I got a killer fill last week while I was Pmssing and it has not been good for me. I've been throwing up everyday! (or to be pollitically correct..PBING) I'm still logging what I eat but something tells me I'm just not doing well right now. I'm so tight that water is a challenge. I went from drinking 4 liters of water/day to .5 liters. I'm so miserable. The Dr. told me to wait until after my period to see if it loosens up. Darnit, I was doing so well without the fill!! My bodybugg and I were just fine until the fill!! LOL!! Can't wait to get it working for me again. You would think that I would be losing weight right now..but, guess I just have to wait until the period is over. UGH!!! If it's not better, I'm getting a slight unfill...mercy..this is tough!! Anybody else go through this? Still wearing the bugg....poor little guy only gets to come off to sleep. LOL!! He's becoming part of the family now. LOL!!

    I went through the same thing. As far as being obsessed, I think it's more kept me in check. I log everything I eat now and I only do it because it's super easy. I actually just put it on in the morning, try to move all day long and then I download my stats when I get home from work. It's just become part of my daily routine now. I think you'll really like it. But, I definitly understand your concerns..I went through them. My follow-through is usually lacking..but, I've found this to be quite amusing and fun. Best of all, easy!

    Hi, The bodybugg doesn't tell you your heart rate and you don't see any information on it until it's uploaded to the computer. It then tells you how many calories you have burned throughout the day and whether you have more to go! It's a little bulky; however, I can wear my long sleeves over it without anybody knowing it's there. It goes on the back of your right tricep so nobody really looks there. Yes, it is touching your skin at all times. After the three months, it will be $99/year for the website membership. Not too bad considering this thing has worked with my band greatly. I LOVE IT!! BTW, I have worn this thing for 2 weeks now and I love it. I don't plan on taking it off at all. And, in my opinion well better spent than the gym membership. The gym never told me how many calories I was expending through the day. Since I have had it, I haven't gone to the gym and I'm down over 10 lbs now. I just get my exercise all day long now. Of course, I will start doing weight training later. But right now, just concentrating on losing weight. I had the same fears because I've always had things fail me. So far, this hasn't failed me. I love it!! BTW- I got mine at 24 Hour Fitness. It was on sale for $329 and came with two 30 minute sessions. I think you'll love it. Charlotte
